Refitting A/C to 460 300GD
I wish to replace missing compressor and A/C radiator to 460 as above , been advised that comp off 124 merc will be the same and can obtain rad from local spec for approx £100 , would appreciate if someone could post pic of compressor as installed as brackets are missing and clearance for V belt past bottom engine radiator hose seems problematic.

I think that you are on the right lines sorry I dont have a pic but you need to be aware that three different compressors where fitted to the 124 so it might be best to work out what the rest of the system on your g is first and then go for a compressor and bracket to match if it is a factory fit then you may have to get an original bracket from mb and fit the compressor from a 124 to that allso if the system has been open to the elements for evan a short length of time you will have to replace the dryer as well I hope this helps what could be a difficult problem

Been on hols , hence delay ,appreciate knowing re three comp options , nearly had one ordered on spec , will do some more homework before parting with cash.
