My 463 has no mudflaps.  I read that the original MB side steps, which my car has, precludes having front mudflaps.  About the rear muflaps, I attach a photo of the area behind the rear wheel (the plastic on the left side of the photo is the bottom of the inner wheel arch cover and the bar with holes extend behind that.)  That bar has lots of holes in it but nothing attached.  Might this be the bracket for mudflaps, in which case i need just the bolts and the actual flap?

thanks

Hi, yes, you are correct, there should be a mud flap attached to that bracket. There should also be a 'rail' that bolts to the other side of the mud flap to clamp and support it. See following link-

Re: Rear Mud Flaps

Just ordered the 12th pair this year

Circa £40 for just the flaps

Maybe more if you are retro fitting and need all the brackets, but most can be made easily

I would say £50 or so would get you a pair sorted from scratch?

Re: Rear Mud Flaps

Thanks Gav.

So it looks like I just need the rubber flaps plus the rails (no 140 on the diagram), as the main brackets are already on the car.

I have today located the source of an annoying squeak - the passenger side rear storage box was loose.  It seems a couple of the fasteners are missing.  I attach 2 photographs of this - the driver side photo (with the CD) has a black bracket thingy bolted to the base with a threaded hole in it.  You will see on the other photo (002) that the same bracket thingy is missing from the passenger side.  Any idea of the part number for that?  Also on the inside of the box in two of the top corners there are holes which correspond to holes in the body, and looking at the driver side box it seems there should be screws and washers here.  The corresponding holes in the body are not threaded so I assume some kind of rubber or plastic plug with a threaded hole is inserted into the body and this grips the screw.  I attach a photo of one of these holes.  Would you be able to source these missing bits?

Thanks

Stainless bolts probably a good idea when you bolting them up, should you ever need to remove them.......
