whilst cleaning out the boot and opening the battery compartment in noticed a rather large fuse type looking box hanging slightly out of its socket. I put it back in the socket but havent the foggiest idea what it is for. Can anyone help as i am rather curious now..i have attached a pic of the part in question. it is the black squarish box marked "siemens".

thanks, Jan

one below the siemens bit, and is V23134-A1061-X280 and then there is another number next to a benz sign which is 002 542 17 19. appreciate your help.

Re: a question

Hi

EPC states....

Looks like it is for a Trailer Hitch / Tow Bar set up?

Siehe Tu 82/610 - Translates to i think - "see the following 82/610" - This refers to EPC Group 82 Body Electrics Sub Group 610 Which is Parktronic as i think the Relay in question mounts to the bracket that holds the Parktronic ECU?

Relates to Special Version 28700/07 Trailer Plug Socket 13 Pin Connector in Battery Box

Hope that makes sense

Gav
