The qualities of G.
As part of earning my daily crust, I am frequently having to pull vehicles apart to bare bones.
Often that needs to go further, indeed cutting through sections of the bare bones.
Whilst very interesting to myself, it also gives me a unique insight into the deep inner core strengths and weaknesses of many many different cars. Not only that, but also of hidden "build" quality or shame, as the case may be.
At times it is a real eye opener. Some supposedly "premium" brands showing astoundingly shoddy workmanship where it is hidden out of sight from the normal consumer.
What will be good news to G wagen owners at large is that, in the above context, it is a vehicle that well and truly stands in a class of its own.
This is in stark contrast to other vehicles being sold as absolute "premium" products, often costing many tens of thousands of pounds more than a new G class.
Take it from someone who has seen the "dark" side of most(vehicles): G-Wagen/G-Class owners, you can hold your heads high with pride and know that deep down, your vehicle has qualities that as yet have to be equaled, let alone be surpassed. Other vehicles manufactured by Mercedes come close, but not equal.
It may not be the best handling or fastest or most economical vehicle available. But one day (and god forbid may that day never come), in case of a most serious accident, you and your passengers have but the very best chance of survival. Where others will crumple up to "nothing", break or (shatter!), yours no doubt will be deformed, but the inner core strength and resistance to external forces would have been the best you could have had.
And that day, when you walk away alive, you will never own another vehicle again, but just another G.
Could`nt agree more. When I brought my G home, the wife asked, " is it difficult to drive ?
Not wanting her to get too comfortable with my new prize, I said " very "
" But what if you`re in an accident " she mused, to which I confidently replied, " then I will drive home and walk through the door , telling you how many unfortunate souls lost their lives.
Safe Driving,
Sean
