What is the correct power steering fluid for my early 463. I think it's Green ( is this same as Citroen Lhm fluid? ) or is it Red Atf???

Does it do harm running on the Aff stuff? Steering box does weep a little more on Atf but that could just be an age thing

You can use (red) Dexron type ATF or the MB power steering fluid, which is yellowish.

Maybe MB have changed their colour schemes, but green us usually associated with LHM 11 type fluids. However, even that is probably fine, as BMW use it as power-steering fluid in simolar steering systems. I use a synthetic ATF which is red.

Re: Pas fluid, Green or Red??????

Red is the one atf for our older trucks

The green fluid is usually for cars with hydraulic suspension and ps lhm citroen springs to mind but that amg63 engine i have has green fluid in the pump because of the suspension

It should not hurt with either but red is the correct one for your truck

Have you only just got round to doing pump. No wonder it weeps a bit. Its tears as you are running that nissan patrol instead of giving the g wagon some tlc

Happy new year to everyone too
