Parting is such sweet sorrow !
Its been a tough old decision to sell the old girl. We've seen a lot of front line action together and she has carted me and a variety of 'fillings' both safely and well over the past 7 years. So, she is a 1989 230GE short wheelbase G with 3 doors and a manual transmission in metallic burgundy red with 185 K on the clock. She has a full custom running rack up top which is very substantial and 4 nearly new tyres with little wear on them. She has issues, hey who doesnt ?, but these are minor. her chassis is clean & sound as is the general condition of her bodywork. She does need a new back door and there are other minor niggles for those with the time to attend to them. I reckon she's entirely worth it but my wife as of the 25th September just gone, cant get into it- so I have to go down a far more anodyne yet practical route !. Anyone who is interested then look at my ad in Exchange & Mart. I'm asking £ 1,800 for it but would settle for £ 1,400 for quick sale. The rack & tyres alone are worth around a grand plus. If anyone wants any further info then I can be contacted on my mobile- 075-33200841 or via email on ; bernard.fox@gmail.com. As Arnie says 'I will be back'.
sad time indeed, looks a great buy for someone.
hope your wife is ok,
regards
Tom
