Perhaps the vendor is working abroad but happy to ship it upon receipt of payment ?
the 0-62 mph time is a tad optimistic and the phones attached to a fax machine
I'm not one to say "I told ya so"
It's always best to pay via bank transfer without having seen the vehicle first ! (after all it's a bargain so only fair)
That will eliminate any risk at all Mark
We live in hope buddy !
The really clever versions of this will send you a link to the 'GM Transport'' website where it will appear to be a legitimate operation (like, say, DHL) where you can even enter tracking numbers to check your shipment. The seller will give you the name and contact number of a person there so that you can discuss the shipment. When you call and tell them the car registration number, they will pretend to fumble around many other V5 documents looking for yours and then they will email you a copy with some contractual paperwork seemingly stamped by a French notary solicitor. Then the seller will ask you to transfer money to a Sanish bank....
Ask for a copy of the signed V5 and see what happens....
I expressed some serious interest by email via the Pistonheads website and asked when I could come to look at the car.
Sadly, no response as yet
