Hi all,

I took my G to a little offroadsite in Nottingham yesterday and it was great fun. There is a preset track with a couple of 'playareas' of that. Nothing very challenging but still good fun, there were some quite scary sidetilts laid out, some crosaxle lanes(have difflocks or 'diplocks' as my other half calls them! so that was no problem. There is a very interesting watersection with some steep climbs. Mine was the only non-landrover there but don't let that put you off as I did some sections where tricked up rangerovers failed miserably!! People were very friendy and were in awe of the capabilties of the G!!
If you want a couple of hours of nondamaging offroading which is still fun this is the place to go, I enjoyed it immensely.

The link is: www.leejames4x4.co.uk

I don't think it would be much fun for a hardcore offroader but if you are a novice like me it is quite nice to follow a preset course and knowing you are not going to get into any trouble.

Hi Richard

Just seen some pics from North yorkshire over at the difflock forums.. Looked like a great day.. Some of that looked pretty scary..
Can't wait to get my G and join in with the fun.

Yes it was SCARY, so scary in fact that I decided not to go up that hill with my small tyres, ofcourse the Suzuki made light work of it, left me wondering all day if I should have tried it? On the other hand a secondhand axle for a Zook is 45 quid and for a G???
Bit unfortunate that I got stuck due to driver error and had to be pulled out by another Zook, THE SHAME!! Still I enjoyed myself immensley and that is what it is all about me thinks. Soon I will have a suspensionlift and bigger tyres and then I WILL attempt that hill again, you'd be very welcome to come along if you would like,

regards

Richard

Difflock forums are here www.difflock.com/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi with links to the rest of the site along the top of their page. It's funny that a web site of that name hardly mentions the only 4x4 that comes with a full set of lockers as standard,,   ..
Lot's greenlaning info etc, etc.. A good site
