Plumped for technical as simple they aint(apparently )
In attempting to prevent water ingress to vehicle cabin( of a RHD 1989 LWB ) I obtained a new set of wiper spindles from MB, So equipped I removed old spindles ( well knackered ) BUT
on attempting to reassemble mechanism prior to re-fitting it transpired that the replacment right hand side spindle was not the same as the one I had removed.
Went to my other "G" RHD 1984 SWB to double check , the new part was the odd one out.
Back to MB -- who have been very good throught -- def. not making money on this transaction --- double checked Ser Nos ( for both my Veh ) they then checked with dealership on Mainland who had right hand side spindle for RHD in stock ---- IT was/is the same as the replacment spindle which they ( the local dealer )had supplied me with
Can anyone shed light on this --- is this a LHD/RHD mixup
Marcus
I would again emphasie that MB dealership have been VERY good about this so far and are making furthur enquiries re same.
PS I intend to modify spindle as supplied to suit, so not the end of the world.

I had a similar problem with my wipers. the epc is wrong for the part number for rht hand drive trucks. you need one spindle with 2 attachments and one with 1 BUT you can use 2 with 2 attachmnets
I posted this on the US G forum
