Nice looking 463 for sale - anyone know it?
It's got 460 alloys not 463, not standard
I think wide 15" alloys with 255/70R15 tyres (as on 460's) where actually an option, at extra cost of £693, on the 463 when it first appeared. the narrower 16" 5.5" wide alloys were standard.
No doubt someone will correct me if that is not the case.
Looks tidy enough, no internal pics yet. I thought my H Reg had a low mileage, but must have been sitting around doing nothing for a long time. Low mileage vehicles worry me. Maybe they shouldn't.
Sorry for a curt reply, I had spent ages to draft out a descent reply earlier but a dodgy key pad has just erased all my work!
Suspect a head job been done at some point. A) The radiator is not painted, hence been replaced. B) The expansion tank is not clean, the internal show signs of blackness as though oil had leaked into it; this is due to oil contamination. C) The thermostat housing is the upgraded aluminium and not plastic; not necessarily mileage related but due to time as plastic deteriorates hence its replacement.
The rear exhaust box is visually new.
My suggestion is checking its full service history and all bills. Check the driver’s seat squab and brake pedal pad and arm rest for excessive wear and gauge that against the mileage of the vehicle. It just could be a vehicle rarely used hence the low mileage and a head job at under 56,000 miles. Hopefully, if the MOT tickets could back mileage readings.
Has any one anything to comment about this dealer? He seems to have a few G-Wagens.
Rakesh's advice is sound. I agree with Roly too, the 460's 15" alloys whilst looking identical have a lesser offset which makes them wider on a 463 as appears to be the case here. Nice colour but short of running boards and interior photographs. I also agree with Ian, this is an abnormally low mileage...why
I'll sign off as I'm sounding far too reasonable
Careful, you sound like you are mellowing in your old age....
