Hello again.

The old 240GD  is about to be retired - so I've bought myself an ex-MOD ambulance.

She is a 1988 300GD chassis-cab with 50.300 km on the clock. The ambulance shelter is built by Zeppelin in Germany (Yes - the airship builders.)

Empty weight is 2700kg  -  Gross permitted weight 3500kg.

The ambulance has a 4.6kW Webasto dieselheater in the engine compartment and another one in the shelter. And the shelter is fully insulated.

She will be converted to a basic camper configuration.

Re: New old girl

my best guess is that this is considerably lighter than the LandRover ambulances

That's a nice project, a great vehicle for a camper. Assume it's ex Norwegian Army? Should be like new with those km's.
