New G on Ebay
Hi has anyone seen the G wagen just listed for sale on Ebay today. Its a convertible diesel just wondered what all you experts think of it.
I am new to this site but have been looking to buy a g wagen for the last 12 months would prefer a 460.
Hello Tony33 and welcome
If this is your first G , may I recommend that you take a look though the Sticky's in the buying section? It can give you a lot of information as well as a level of protection for the heartless so and so' who will gladly take your money and deliver a very poor G.
That warning now said, would you lie to share a bit more on what you would like to do with your G? If you can copy and paste the link maybe some of our more knowledgeable members could pass on a friendly piece of advice.
Many thanks
Spider1V
this one, it is a w460 so it will be slow but it looks well cared for and would lend itself to a future engine up grade, I like it

Not sure on waterside as a dealer, as I have no experience with them. However, it sounds as if you are managing your 'G fever' well and taking the time to do some research. Tough call, as personally I am more of a 463 fan - as I like the perm. 4 wheel drive (and before other members comment the wood leather, carpet etc etc)
There are two 460's down at G Wagen in Caversham and I think a 461 in a dark yellow, which if I had the money I would get, very nice looking G and a RHD as well, knowing that it is the ONLY official yellow of that colour in the UK sort of swung me. When I go down to collect my G, I will take a few pics and if anyone wants me to will take it for a drive.
Looking at your location, you should drop the 'evil northern rep' a note and get him to set up a regional meet as you have some fantastic members up there and one or two of them can keep an eye out for you (PXwheels, ScouseG (aka James Bond lol) , 3gtf, Jason GDS) just to name a few.
I find with the more eyes that are looking, the shorter the time and better the G you can find!
Best of luck with your search, please post up any questions, comments, concerns you may have and I am sure someone on here will be able to answer for you. Once again welcome to the forum

Hi Tony and welcome, all I can say and hopefully without putting you off is be very careful before you part with your hard earned money, you will do well to ask someone who knows what they are looking at to go with you before you buy anything. I'm am sure there will be people on this forum only to glad to advise you.
All the best, and good luck, Paul.
Hi Spider thank you for your welcome,I have always wanted a g wagen after owning quite a few land rovers.
Been looking for a while to find the right one would prefer a 460 quite into classic cars so do not mind the
dated interior.I have put in quite a few offers on vehicles that have interested me.Would want a 230 GE manual petrol or diesel
not a 280.I would use the vehicle at weekends in the country maybe green lanes and meets.
What do members think of waterside in Essex? they seem to have a few for sale.
