new bumber
is it possible to fit a newer grill and bumber (the one with fog ligths in) on to a 460 model? :?
You cannot just fit the newer grille without replacing both front fenders and headlamp surrounds. It can be done and people normally do it if they have a front crash and they was to freshen up theyr G with the repair:
The 463 bumper will fit in a 460/46. Here the issue is the cost.
I think that the front mudguards are actually the same, but there is a small plastic panel fitted to the lower part, which gives them the squarer profile on the 463. The other parts you will need are the wheal-arch rubber (plastic) extensions, the headlamp surrounds, a new bumber and its end-caps, and of course the front grille. All this is a lot of money if purchased new.
Whats a bumber? Or are we talking about a bumper? (which of course may be a bumber if its knackered.)

Can't comment on the grille, but I fitted a 463 bumper with tow pin and end caps onto my 88 460 at the end of last year. Fits straight on. Bolt holes and everything the same. My G has the standard MB plastic wheelarch extensions which work well with the new bumper. Looks like they were designed for new bumper.

i can supply all parts in fibreglass to upgrade any early g class to 463 body spec,
included ,f&r bumpers & endcaps ,grille,headlamp surrounds,wing corners, mirrors,wheelarches. all the exact profile of oem parts

Is this not what I did to my 300 when I fitted the turbo intercolled engine but i fitted a 400cd bumper to take the intercooler
