I've just brought a Steyr Puch LWB diesel picked it up from Devon and drove it faultless up to North Yorkshire.

I will no sell my 1992 463 SWB 300GD (its in the classified ads) I've had it for 10 years and expect 10 years plus out of my new car.

Re: My lates vehicle

you'd expect at least another 10years out of the swb too, there are LRs on the road that are 50 years old

Re: My lates vehicle

Thanks for the comments yes my 463 will be around for another 10 years, and I got this new one to last me out :)

I filled the car up to the top & checked the mileage at Torquay where I brought the car and drove it to Trowbridge Wiltshire to overnight (135miles) with my brother I then filled it to the top again then checked the MPG it recorded 28 mpg that's on the A37 A303 and the minor roads.

I then drove up the M4 /M5 A38 keeping it to about 65/68 mph and filled up at Derby again filled to the top and worked the mpg it was 27 mpg! the mpg is much better than I expected.

I drove it on to the Bishop Auckland and on to Whitby I'm using it around and will check it when it's under half a tank. It's expensive to fill the 95 litre tank.

Re: My latest Vehicle

Hi Prwales

The sort of mileage I got out of my six cylinder 463 manual was around 22 mpg that was local driving, it was only used around Whitby.

I have a very modern E220 CDI for long drives and it's good on fuel.
