I've not been very well of late and it really is time for my G to go. It's a '91 (two seater) GES with a very good LPG system. Plenty of info and pictures on here if anybody seriously interested. It needs a wee bit cosmetic attention but it's straight & sound low mileage (approx 87K) wagon. With a TT kit I'd be looking for around 12K unless folks think that's way off beam. It's had a shed load of work done on it to get it to the where it is. Any seriously interested parties can pm me and we can talk. Please please please no tyre kickers, my health is not that great. Thanks, Ian

Very sorry to hear that Ian.

Did you end up having the TT kit fitted? If so how did it work out?

Re: My G must go

It was a bit of a disaster. The guy who was to fit it had the wagon for the best art of three months and didn't even start. There's not that many I'd trust doing it but he got very very busy and just couldn't fit it in. I knew there was always a chance of that, but there you go.......I shall really miss my G, but the reality is I not much able to get out and about any more and even getting into it is a bit of a struggle. Jet powered wheelchair next I think !!!!!!

Sorry to hear the news Ian, but I have to agree, the G is hard work compared to some of the latest automotive offerings, take care of yourself

Re: My G must go

I really don't have the energy or health to cope with a private sale, so I'll be putting my G into an auction soon unless anyone pops out of the wood work before then and wants to buy it. Anyone recommend best place to auction?

Also have a TT kit surplus to requirement.

Thanks, yes I was looking at Anglia Car Auctions. They also pick up which would be good for me.

Re: My G must go

Here's a bit more info if anyone is interested. Not exhaustive:

Some pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/127882433@N08/

Four good AT tyres

Low mileage (under 90K)

Becker Indianapolis Pro

Clifford remote locking/alarm/immobiliser/remote start

Private plate

About three years ago:

New blower about three years ago

New water pump

MB HT Cables all replaced

Head skimmed

Steering renovated

All brakes overhauled & new mesh pipes

LPG Upgraded when I bought it, runs well.

Under sealed waxolyed iirc

Bit of rust around rear offside parking light

Generally a wee bit of tidying up needs doing, nothing major

Mot renews 5th April

There's probably other stuff I've forgotten

£9.2K is a fair price I think for a quick painless sale, I think it’ll fetch a wee bit more than that at auction.

If anyone wants any specific information or wants to have a look get in touch. But please, no cyber tyre-kickers, I've already had a few and in my state of health I don't really have the time to waste.

It’s a good solid G that runs well, my second ever favourite car. My favourite was my SL60.

Contact if your seriously interested, I’m just outside Oundle  (10miles south of P’boro)
