Moaned at!!
I am probably going to get moaned at as this has nothing to do with Gs but a Merc Van.
I would like a vintage mercedes van at my farmhouse in France but dont know what they are called...They have a horizontally ribbed body and a "pug nose" I cannot find reference to them anywhere they look about 1950/60 ish does anyone know what they are called so I can at least do a search. I have never seen one in this country but I have seen a few in France including dumped in fields..
I could probably find a photo somewhere in my french magazines.

Do you mean the 206D van, that was made in Austria by Henschell Hannimag (or some name like that) :?:

They were made in Vitoria, Spain (same factory as the Vito, Viano and V-Class) and thanks to the dry weather they still can be found in Spain in remarkable condition for their age.

Hello, this may be of interest, the van you are looking for may well be a Citroen van made in the sixties, it has ribbed sides and a pug nose, check out this web site

Thats the one... The picture I saw had a MERC Badge on the front NO WONDER I COULDNT FIND IT.
Thanks I like the look of them too I might get one if I can find one to use in france while I am working on my farmhouse.
