Yes I like the 260 bhp and have asked questions via ebay as to how the pump is set up - is it the old mechanical 603 pump or have they gone for electrics from a 124 for the pump and gearbox. If I get a reply will post the info.

The wolf is now sold, apparently.

"special-order German army Mercedes Benz 3.0 TD, automatic"

Did they have those?

Re: looks OK pro upgrade

This guy was selling a W124 estate that had been dyno'ed at crazy torque/power. From memory 570bhp and around £4750.

If I'd had that lying around I would have bought it.

Now I fancy a scabby looking 190, I'd make do with 260bhp in that:-)

Re: looks OK pro upgrade

Here's the response from the vendor on ebay :

Hi its a high performance mechanical 8.0mm dieselmeken injector pump turned down for road use and excellent mpg!

The gearbox is a rebuilt heavy duty fully mechanical version so no controller required.

Not too sure what he means about the gearbox ?

seems like a good buy for the money

Well that should be an exciting G. Looking forward to seeing some pics and your thoughts on it. Don't go spinning the tyres in the wet.

Re: looks OK pro upgrade

picked her up this morning, really pleased! it's definitely very lively on the road and gets up to speed on the motorway with ease, the fuel indicator isn't working correctly though and luke reckons it may have just siezed up and may right itself after i've gone through a few tanks - any thoughts ?

stuck just above the bottom bar, so does move up from bottom when ignition goes on, it's had a plastic tank upgrade, I don't know if that makes a difference?

The float could well just be stuck.

If not you can access it through the boot floor. If you lift the carpet you'll see an access panel, from memory pretty much in the center.
