I need a couple of spares for my w460, and having been quoted £45 by Timpsons thought I'd investigate online key cutters. It looks like the standard pattern Hufs key code is Hu36P. Anyone got a view on whether this is correct or not?

Re: Key code

Maybe try another shoe repair/key cutting shop nearby. That's where I got mine. I bought 3 so no way I would have spent that much on them, although it was three or four years ago.

I don't know what Homebase charge but at my local one they're doing a three for two deal.

A rip off, especially when you can buy the blanks for £5!

Re: Key code

you might want to consider replacing the steering-lock cylinder/barrel, if not done already, before it's too worn and leaves you stranded. It's a 5 minute job with a working key. It's a much longer job when the keys no longer work due to wear or the cylinder and pins.
