Interior Opinion
The interior of my 1989 W460 230GE is in amazing condition for its age and features the black/grey check cloth.
My question is…
Should I keep it ask it is or update it to a new black leather interior to match the exterior of the car that has been restored with a lot of bodywork and paintwork.
On one hand, it’s the original material and in good condition but on the other hand it dates the vehicle in a big way.
What to do??
Be happy and feel superior that you have a classic G Wagen with an interior that is original and "in amazing condtion".
That's my vote anyway.
stay original at least until you can get a set of recaro's in the same fabric [these are fairly common]
keep it; photos please.
Another vote to keep. If you find a set of alternativer seats, at least keep the originasls to go with the car - it will pay dividends if you ever sell.
thats a recaro, or looks like one
And if the other seats are as good as that one appears to be I definitely wouldn't think about having them recovered. That one looks amazing.
no an option, standard ones aren't as supportive, great seats I'd keep them if I were you
Thanks for the feedback so far. Here's a quick pic so you can see what we're dealing with!
