Identify this please....
Can someone please tell me what this hydraulic fluid bottle is, it doesn't correspond with the position of the ones in the owners handbook. It's in the offside rear of the engine bay. It's the only one under the bonnet, so I'm assuming it must be diff-lock fluid, as it's an automatic, so wouldn't be clutch? My technical knowledge is very limited though I know it's not brake fluid as that one's rectangular! Reason I ask is that I noticed it was empty last week, so filled it up and now it's empty again in less than a week.....

Full marks for the deduction, it is for the locking diff.
It is filled up with brake fluid and the fact it leaks is possibly through a perished rubber fitting a little lower down or the 'F' shaped plastic connection piece has broken off. These two points are quite common.
The resolve is to replace the perished item(s), fill the reservoir and bleed the front and rear lock diffs.

Thanks to you both for the info.
I'm glad it's diff locks so I don't need to worry too much.
I'll give the print out to my mechanic and let him sort it out for me in due course.
Thanks again! Suzie
