I am thinking of fitting the  Hutchinson alloys to my G. The rim I would prefer is the WA-1207 which is the civilian version of the more popular military version.

i contacted Barry Robertson at Hutchinson Uk who intern put me in touch with Simon at SJD off Road who from what I understand is the UK outlet for Hutchinson. The rims are £415 inc Vat for both the Mil and civilian spec (web site price).

Question is  would you recommend any other dealers/suppliers for a cost comparison?

Thank you Adrian I will contact Hutchinson Uk with the part number and give Magna a call. Can you explain the difference between the bead locks?

Re: Hutchinson wheels part number WA-1207

howard why do you like the idea of not having hub caps

   or split rim bolt covers?(wa-1207)

they dont tell you that you will need all the adaptor rings ( wa-491)

the (wa-492) the way to go! IMO

also they dont say anything about the beadlocks

as this should be part of the part no eg WA0491-17-B097

      they just say WA941

    (quote email from magna hutchinson)

For the rims WITHOUT beadlock: (Hutchinson advises the use of a beadlock, because using the rims without a beadlock can cause the loss of pressure)

RRP for beadlocks  165.28 (incl. 20% VAT.) each

this inc in the price on PM i sent

Re: Hutchinson wheels part number WA-1207

I accept all you points but I prefer the dished look of the 1207 and the fact the bolts are set back and are not proud of the rim.

I will discuss the points you raised with Barry to see what he comes back with. Just looking at my options which at the moment are

1. Hutchinson 1207 or 492

2. Mercedes Astaroth, Heavy duty in Black

I haven't ruled out any at this stage.
