Just been stopped trundling up the (steep) hill near home (Flintstone legs going full-out to make sure get there) when got waved down by descending van. There's me thinking what's the issue (and why stop me on the way up, with 2.5 tons at least let gravity help me?) and get asked "How much for your G". Caught off guard, so my witty replied amounted to "Ugh?". "Well call me when ready to sell" - hands me his card and au revoir.

Who would have thought it, an old G being desirable...?!? Reckon they must have spotted the "Gav-H" added value.

Anyway, suppose I should have asked "How much willing to pay?", but any better responses for next time?

Cheers

Stewart

I've had that a couple of times, the trouble is they see H reg and think old landy prices, Hmmm  good luck with that one.

In future I'll be ready with, "oooh I hadn't thought to sell it,  make me an offer I cant refuse"

I have had the "note under the windscreen" and the car alongside in traffic asking if I wanted to sell (wife told them no) so there does seem to be a demand for an old 460
