The problem with that site is that it is not possible to get an overview of a particular model, for example how many G Wagons are there. You need to input the specific model number and often you find there is no information.
This is because during registration process the local DVLA offices were responsible for inputting the model designation and they often used a variety of designations for the same model type. You need to input various model designations to find the information you are looking for.
If you search for Mercedes G300 you will find only 8 are currently taxed but if you search for Mercedes 300GEL Auto you will find 56 taxed and 11 SORN. A search for 300GD will show a couple of hundred still on the road.
There are 33 G500 LWB taxed and two on SORN and 8 G500 SWB and one on SORN but no information as to how many are left or right hand drive.

SORRY - just been looking at different models and seems this is a rubbish resource after all. G300 shows as zero.
Should have checked in more depth before posting - maybe admin can just delete to save me any more embarrasment??
