Hello everyone, looks like a great forum, please to be the latest member!

I'm working out which G makes most sense: this is the cheapest one on the approved used site:

http://used.mercedes-benz.co.uk/used/2012/mercedes-benz/g350-bluetec/201...

What do people think? Good, bad or ugly?

But more realistically this would do the job - would there be anyone on the forum who could help/recommend someone to help inspect it?http://www.britanniacarsuk.com/detail/169189/used-mercedes-benz-g-wagon-g300-e-3dr-auto-sheffield

Thank you!!

Thank you, yes I'd seen that, but would love to find someone who can give it a mechanical check out!

Huge depreciation on the latest models plus a hefty road tax hit, whereas older w463s are holding firm on price and are on a fixed road tax of circa £250. Fewer electronic components to go wrong in the older cars as well, if you find a well looked after rust free car the newer cars seem a little pointless

I think the AA or RAC would check it out mechanically for you.

Or arrange to test drive the vehicle and drive it into the nearest Halfords for an inspection report ?

Just a thought.

Good luck,

neil.

Is that how you test that the bullbars really are the heavy duty version? wink

Agreed, for much less than that sort of money you could do lot better and maybe even have something that appreciates....Like a nice G500
