Avid readers will recall that on the 11th of May 2013 we bought a 460 with the renowned 606 engine "all in good working order, requiring no more than diesel and a yearly service." Since then we have put huge unforeseen efforts into getting it running and roadworthy. This summer we drove it 333 miles (with three forward gears) to Gordon of G-Restorations. Having pressed innumerable buttons on the cyber-gadget I hope that pictures of a clean and tidy engine bay will appear forthwith. At last we can begin to use it, although there remains quite a bit yet to do. The smooth talking seller and his ham fisted accomplice had left us with some entertaining items to sort out. On the plus side, we have met numerous friendly and helpful folk along the way as Life's gloriously rich pageant rolled happily along. Thank you to so many for so much. We look forward to chinwagging with Wageneers in times to come. Meanwhile, here is wishing you and yours every good cheer for a Happy New Year, Nick+Hilary.

Let it be a lesson to all. If it sounds too good to be true, it almost always is! Happy new year all.

True. Very true, JHW. However, on the up side: It's the first time in more than forty years that I've fallen for it. We have made some lovely friends along the way. We have learned a lot and... It's keeping us off the streets!
