Gwagen production to continue until 2022
Echt - Wonderbar!
that should make it the longest production run of any car
probably down to the Australia army
More due to success of AMG models.
463's, new model due 2017. Likely to be the biggest change since the G's launch.
461's will carry on with probably only changes to keep up with emission regs, or worst scenario only available to military.

There was recently an order for 300 RHD Prof XLWB Gs by one of the Aussie fire fighting departments.
Every little helps

Contract extension of 461 to 2022 is due to military commitments.
New 463 in 2017 is going to be a big departure. End of swapping bits?
as far as I know from 2015 onwards the 461 will only be sold as military vehicles as engine is not EUR6 compliant.

Can't see why i wouldn't be?
The OM642 used in the Sprinter / Vito / C /E / G / Etc is not as far as i am aware...
But the replacement is....so if in the Cars and Vans, why not the G, Can't be that far removed...?
Could be wrong!!!!

Maybe hearsay, but it's from the horses mouth. :)
Who are you calling a horse?
Based on an internet search, the production of the 300 CDi Professional ceased in 2013. That would leave the 280 Cdi Worker which as far as I know (and this is not my area of expertise) forms the base for the military vehicles. There might be some special application communal vehicles as well. May be somebody here has further information but this sounds to me that production of the civilian 461 stopped at the end of 2013.
theyre gonna ruin it they do...!
how are gonna proudly say that the body is exchangeable from a 79 model and 2014. we will be a laughing stock. my wife would definately 'wack it' in a narrow lane..
ganz richtig - Vielen Dank
