Hi all... i have been reading some old posts re this issue... anyone got any input?

are the MB caps and rotors better than Bosch and Beru.?. i had a look inside mine to check it as im still having a slight misfire and the cap terminals and rotor tip are burnt and scored...in need of replacement definately.

Waiting for a call back from MB  re cost of replacement MB parts...

Euro and GSF list a few.......

They are prob made by the same folks - I've been running Beru for 10 years no probs - as long as its OEM quality go for price. Ignition cables also important and Beru are good - worth checking at night in the dark for leaking HT to ground.

OK so i decided to buy the genuine MB parts based on the adage that its MB so its built to last... replace the parts with the same quality...

£120 for a Distributor cap.. looked at it... its a Bosch!!

GSF list a Bosch one for £25.. although the one in their picture is all black

mine is the usual orange colour with a black lower half... not sure of the difference...

did i just contribute to a new dealership being built ...?  or do Bosch do their own version of 'economy own brand'?

The thing to remember is if you've got OEM quality then its as good as the specs are the same.

The only trouble - is it genuine? German an Swedish should be ok as long as you get given the correct part - I've had oil filters from EuroCarParts in MB boxes.
