Scouse g had a plastic one for sale. Look below or at the classified ads forum. That's the way to go and will add value.

On another G-W we got our leaky one refurbished by Norther Radiators of Leeds. Top Job. You have probably got someone nearer by who could help. It is a professional (not D.I.Y.) job.

They should still supply them.... if you are going down the 'main dealer' route, they will supply you with a plastic tank and retrofit kit. I know the part number for the tank is A4604701201, but don't know about the kit.

This is a quite expensive route though, i'd imagine you wont get change out of £2-2.5K, you'd be better off sourcing a used tank, either refurbished steel version from someone reputable, or a used plastic version.

If you go the used plastic route, the correct version will have the space for the exhaust to pass through, though this version seems quite rare. The tanks from the later w463's are more plentiful, but lack this exhaust cut out, so you'd need to reroute your exhaust too - This is what I did.

Re: G Wagon fuel tank

Yes plastic tank kit is now £2.5k plus

I have about 6/7 refurbished steel tanks available

Various types ready to go... petrol and diesel

Standard single filler tanks and single and twin saddle tank types

All professionally refurbished and guarenteed

£600 each no matter what style

These are done by Northern Radiators in Leeds as Nick says...

They want  £650 for a tank as a one off

I had 10 tanks done as a job lot so worked out a good chunk cheaper

Tank split in half and any repairs done and then coated inside and out

These are ready to go rather than 6-8 weeks lead time they normally have

PM me if you need one

Gav
