It is quite rare to see a G-wagon on the roads and therefore, when I do, I always make the effort to acknowledge the other driver.

So far all other owners have done the same - from G350 owners to W460, everyone has been friendly and waved back...except for one specific group... the AMG owners.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've seen both a G55 and and G63 recently and both owners were sullen and miserable. It was quite obvious that both of them saw me and both ignored the informal greeting... one going so far as to make the concerted effort to look away.

I actually found it mildly amusing.

I had the same thing happen about 12 months ago but never thought anything about it but after the last two, it seems to be non-scientifically linked to AMG ownership cheeky

Anyone else experience the miserable side of 'our' family tree?

If they bothered to look, I believe they'll find "wood and carpet" inside my G350 wink

Re: G-Spotting

Hi,

I had a similar experience, I waved many times no response.

But what I did notice was that in the last two Defender 110's I had was they would either flash headlights or wave at me every time without fail. Even in my 59' Vw Beetle-Always a wave every time.

AMG owners are in other league I suppose!

Regards

G

Re: G-Spotting

was in London Last night and counted 8 G Wagens... All Newish AMG models... one was a SWB Convertable... driven by various young looking men...

I wasnt in mine ... so cant comment on snobbish behaviour... i have come to notice the bling crowd trying to upstage each other.....  spot of the night was a white 6x6 G63AMG... surreal to see...towering over the other cars.... a cabbie told me it regularly parks near the Tate modern.... didnt have my cam phone so no pics.... was amazing to hear the thunder as they approached.... nothing like it...er well except thunder!!
