G Specialist in Scotland?

Hi Guys

Does anybody know of a good G garage in Scotland? Preferably in the Central Belt. I was booking my 460 into Gibson Motors, Cumnock today for a service but it seems that  Alan Gibson, the main man, sold up a month ago!

We are by Lochaline, Argyll, with a 1988 SWB OM606A 460. G-Restorations is 333 miles from our door. Somehow we got our G-Wagen to Poulton-le-Fylde. Gordon got it going. Hurrah! And it is still going well D.J. (ex REME) of Loch Shiel Garage, Acharacle, is also a positive, reliable and accomplished character. Good luck. Nick and Hilary.

I can recommend Kenny Brown Engineering at Hillington Industrial Estate, Paisley.

They are both good quality independents who won't rip you off and have been around for a long time. Check out their websites and then give them a call or pay them a visit. They are always happy to have a chat.

GWOA to the rescue. Thanks for the recommendations Big Block, and also Gordon (you're a bit too far away!).

As I work in Paisley, and they are only 5 mins away,, I'll get in contact with Kenny Brown Engineering.

Yes Paul it's still me, although I seem to spend more time these days on  Unimog and Pinzgauer sites asking questions instead of on this site answering them. smiley

Tom, Alan has sold to his team , Colin and James who are well geared up on G wagons . My 230 just back from them and so far so good .

Fred, I saw your 230 down at Gibson's when I dropped mine off on Monday. Spoke to Colin, and you are correct, it's the same crew apart from Alan. I'll still be using them.
