Hi

I have just noticed that the near side front head light glass  on our 1991 LWB 463 is missing, the lamp is intact and so is the rubber.

Could someone please help on weather or not you can buy just the glass or the whole unit and if so where is the best place to get one?

Also our internal heater blower barring is making a lot of noise, is there away to tighten / replace the barring thought the air intake under the bonnet or do you have to take the whole dash out? If so where is the best place to get a replacement unit?

Thanks

Hamish

Re: Front head lamp glass

Sounds like you've got the same problem as me regarding the headlights.......

As you'll note, there doesn't seem to be a source of just the lens; I've ended up ordering new headlamp unit from Guido at Industry Tools (www.industrytools.de) in Germany. Guido is really helpful!

Re: Front head lamp glass

Just looked these up for Mr Goat and Mish

G500 and G300 both list A001 820 54 61 for the lamp @ £66.50 + vat each UK

G300 interestingly still lists A000 826 98 99 for the lens @ £51.50 + vat each Germany

Later pre Xenon style also available @ £106 + vat each (you need to replace both- but much better in theory)

PM me if you need help

Off to sharpen my pencil... wink

Re: Front head lamp glass

Are the clear-lens types the ones with internal ellipsoid projector lens? if so, should be a whole lot better than the H4s

I'll have to consider upgrading, then.

Re: Front head lamp glass
So would the 7 inch headlights off a mini or dare I say it, a land rover fit? There are some funky options for both out there. Thanks Mud
