Cheers Paul

Re: Four wheel drive
Hello Paul. I had a dreadful bother with this same thing a while ago. The clue was an oil leak from the transfer box. The oil seal was not fully home and the male/female shafts were not fully engaging. It transpired that someone (?) had hammered them together and "bruised" the splines so that it was a struggle to disengage the shafts. The solution was to needle file the splines so that the shafts could engage/disengage fully and smoothly, replace the oilseal in its correct position, refill the 'box and drive on happily for many, many miles since. Good luck with whatever it turns out to be, Nick.

Transmission wind up? Or was there plenty of potential for wheels to slip? Transfer Box got enough oil?

Re: Four wheel drive

Hi gents, it's never been a problem before, iv had her for about seven years now and was always a smooth transfer, not that I go off roading a lot, tried again this afternoon same thing, also noticed the shift lever works fine going from two to four wheel but going the other way I can move the lever between four and two wheel drive with no resistance, if I put her in reverse she pops straight back in to two wheel drive, also I digress, Nick I have a spare 460 window switch if yours is still playing up? Thanks Paul
