The first aid kit is missing on my 300GDS 463 swb (just bought) and I would like to find a replacement.
Can anyone tell me what it looks like, is it a box or one of those sealed bags?
And where, apart from Mercedes, can I find one.
I saw a couple on ebay but they are from merc cars, are they the same?

Also the control knob for adjusting the headlights from inside the car is broken off, and the mechanism seems to be seized.
Is it a big deal to fit a new one ?

Regards Bill :)

Its a bag

My first aid kit is a bag. I'll see if there's any other ID on it.

My headlight adjuster doesn't work either It stopped less than 12 months ago. Its full of fluid. I do have a knob though!

My first aid kit is in a bag too, though I didn't see any ID on it. Though I know the ones that MB advertises in their latest accessories catalogue comes in a box and is claimed to fit all 463s. Though the custom mats the claimed would fit didn't....

My headlight dial doesn't really work either, just kind of gives a slightly budge to the lights that is barely noticeable. Haven't bothered to fix it as you only really need it if you tow a lot or carry heavy loads.

It looks like nobody has a functioning headlight range adjustment!
Mine was cancelled when I had to fit RHD headlights to my LHD G.
There is no cheap cure for this. My MB manual quotes among other things:
"The transmission takes place in a closed hydraulic system"
"Neither repair nor bleeding is possible. If there is a fault the system has to be fully replaced"
I am afraid that this would not be cheap though...
