An ideal vehicle for your part of the world Gooch but I could quite easily knock a £100,000 off the value of that G in one day just by taking it on a few of my usual off road commutes.  Not to sure what I would do with it to be honest. frown.

Who in their right minds would take that to 149mph.......or anywhere near that speed for that matter.

80mph is quite fast enough for a G...mind you, it's how you get to 80 that counts.....smileydevil

I. Know I. Know....... But it must sound like thunder when it goes. It's an odd ball too as it's soo expensive to buy, it needs to go to some one filthy rich who doesn't appreciate them as much, that's where they normally end up I suppose.

that's a true statement!  Owning higher litre versions too to go by. After 60-70 mph Any G has too much wind noise. Can't imagine 150 either in a G wagon ever. I'm more for sound / cruising really. Would love to have it for a weekend though.

My SL60 at 130 (in Germany angel) felt well planted. My G at 80 doesn't.....surprise

Sorry, not that fast. sad

Only got recorded at 135 MPH, then 128 MPH then 70 MPH...... The official statement from the gent's in blue' Move's fast for a garden shed'. At 125 MPH it get rather noisy (wind wise) and to get from 125 - 135 take the same time to get from 0-125! LOL.

I would NOT recommend it past 125 MPH as it gets susceptible to the slightest wind, potholes, painted lines on the road, muppets pulling out - trying to slow down 2.5 ton's from triple digits - that will put hairs on your chest and gives a healthy shot of adrenalin (which I found out comes in two forms, Solid AND liquid).

Though I think this would suit the chairman. He likes his Brabu's
