EDC / P0471 / P2BAD (300CDI / W461)
EDC light came on again.
Scanned. 4 instances of P2BAD ("Fault code not found in database) and P0471 ("Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Circuit Range / Performance").
DPF differential pressure sensor recently replaced, about three weeks ago.
Any insight?

Have you tried cleaning the EGR valve?
After test driving over the weekend, I'm confident that my P0471 problem has been solved.
A full write-up will be posted in due course.
Took out the Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor A009 153 50 28.
Shook off the carbon dust / soot as much as possible.
Sprayed the hole with contact cleaner aerosol.
Refitted it tightened to 20Nm torque.
Cleared codes with an iCarSoft MBII
We assume this has lasted the 6 years from when you had the problem!!

I recommend and advocate the use of fuel carbon cleaning additive every fourth tank full to keep DPF and connected issues at bay. Our Garage uses either Forte or in my opinion better still is BG Products additives:

Other brands include Liquid Moli, Wynn's, STP,
HYDRA DPB-100- Diesel Power Blast - Fuel Injector Cleaner with Diesel Additives and more these are just some examples. There are more intense cleaner about but requires Garages to perform the cleaning.

Turned out cleaning didn't work for long.
Had to replace it after all. Been good so far after a number of weeks and over 200km. Vehicle actually felt more responsive.
