I went to look at this car this morning, as a 1982/3 car it must be one of the earliest G-wagens in the UK. I saw this truck in a semi restored state a couple of years back, when the rear quarters were being cut out and replaced. As has the leading edge of the rear floor and bottom of the rear door. Fuel tank is good and rear shocks and springs have been changed. Some detail faults that include the over painted gutter trim and the wheel spats which are non original and the paint work which a perfectionist would probably re-do. I think the car would be nicer without the spats or alternatively fit the wider 15" alloys. The truck is solid having had all the rust cut out engine starts 1st time seems most likely that the truck has done 125k miles rather than the 25k that is showing on the clock, definitely worth considering
Nice car, what did you decide? :)
And very much appreciated it was too - from one who is looking for a G but has limited time to get to see those available.
£2,870.....someone got a very good buy.
the owner said he wanted £3.5k
That must be disappointing
It is local so I went for a look and posted what I saw as an brief appraisal, I already have a w463 and a w124 so another one would be superfluous
