Has anyone come up to an alternative to those stupid rubber fixings holding the door pockets on to the door the tips of the threads on mine had all rusted so as soon as you start to unscrew them the rust gets caught up and turns the rubber plug. The only thing I could think of to put them back on to use again was large self tapping clips, the type used to hold speaker on to a panel. Other than pop riveting a metal patch over it to use a normal self tapper.. ANY IDEAS

maybe a tad late with this answer to help on your problem, but the info could maybe help others,
I have just had the same problems when refitting my door panels, so looking round the garage for something to use, i came across some spare plastic push in bits, dont know the name but they are used to push into the exterior body panels and then your exterior rubber strips that run the full length of the truck screw into them. and they cost pennies.
Worked a treat. oh well better late than never !!
