Got home to find my reversing lamp hanging down by it's cable. The lamp sits within the rear bumper.

There's a T shaped bracket that attaches the lamp to the rear bumper. Does anyone know if I can just purchase the bracket and screws/bolts/nuts to re-attach the lamp unit or does the bracket etc. only come together with the lamp?

Current bracket rusted through.

Anyone know the relevant part numbers?

Mine is a 1993 SWB G300 -  WDB463 227 2707 8892

Unfortunately I think bracket is part of lamp.  As in they will sell you the complete light not just the bracket.Since light output not great why not replace with some LED unit?

Thanks JasonGDS, Good idea.

Are they all the same size - bearing in mind it needs to fit fairly nicely into the hole in the bumper? Or does anyone know a make and model of an LED unit that does fit?

Think the standard reversing /fog lamps smaller than the normal cheap Ring /Halfords type thing, probably just a case of going through eBay lights, tho easiest option is to buy replacement from MB, but at least £30.

So, bought a small piece of aluminium sheet and managed to make a replacement bracket using hacksaw and drill.

Had a few nuts and bolts lying around and reversing lamp now refitted to G (and working).

Cost £1.40 plus about an hour of my time (I'm not much good at metalwork - but I'm cheap).
