Diff locks again

i tried my Diff locks the other day on Grass and neither worked no lights came on either what is the first thing to do to check them..

Diff locks again

The very first thing and also the easiest is to check the level and quality of the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir. If it's low or inexistent (don't laugh) it might be due to the hose just underneath the reservoir becoming loose. This is because (in the 460 at least) it's held in position all by itself.

If all this is normal, next step will be a faulty slave cylinder.

Having all this failed, it would be more serious than that!

How far did you drive after engaging? Did you turn a corner?

They can take a little time to engage.

No I just drove back and forth and wiggled the steering wheel. I do check them every 3/4months and so far they have been fine maybe i did nt drive enough Ill give it a try.
