Diff locks
Does any one know if the front diff lock of a 460 300 or 230 will fit a 280?
I do'nt know the answer Bill,but I might be able to find out as I have one of those electronic parts catalogs.But are you talking about the diff lock slave cylinder or the actual sliding part inside the axle,(dog clutch?).Also have you a chassis no.for the 280 to type into the program.

Jesus' source looks to be far cheaper and I think I read also that the epcs from this source were more up to date.

It was the mechanism in side the axle , all stripped out and replaced now, I decided to strip out the whole axle and bench it, replaced all bearings and NDTd the crown wheel and pinion replace pinion bearings with ceramic bearings to see if there is any noticable difference in rotational rumble so far fairly good.
The ceramic clutch I fitted seems so far to be standing up to the extra torque from the AMG upgrade to the engine.
I have stiffened the suspension a little more with 3 stage Konis to further enhance higher speed road holding but need to fit check straps for off road to prevent damage.
