days out for g meets
Hello g fans
I think this site is cool, I have lots of leisure interests but no time to participate, Im always busy but have good interests at
There are a lot of members on here
Heres my views
I have a beer and chill out ant write a lot of stuff with poor punctuation etc etc
I would love to see more days out events. I would love to visit the factory but time is not on my side and i have meant to renew my passport 9 times but by the time its ready its all out of date
If i did renew it,,, i would pay,,, and not be able to make it lol, so im useless. but i paid at least
We need a little space and it would be nice to have a heading where g owners can meet up.
It might be on here but ive joined loads of forums and they are all not the best to be fair. This one is good. I was expecting lots of daft comments on my g write up but all were good. Im now enjoying this site. If any comments were bad i could soon answer them and would do easily with pleasure if anyone asked
Back to the meets
It might be a party of 5 and only 2 turn up but thats ok as its just a run out and a meet up
That would suit me ace. Out of 10 meets i could do 1 or 2 of them but at least we meet and chat g wagons and talk crap and have a good day out with some food and a coffee or tea
We need not do a tour or off road trail , the meet would be ok in itself i think. If people were meeting near local ground they might know of a trail or 2 that would be a bonus
Lets have a little vote and see if we need a space on the homepage
It will suit some but not others and if you turn up with just 2 g wagon owners it will be a success. If 50 turn up its a bonus
If we vote its good im sure we will all meet up in uk in a few years. If its abroad i might even get my expired ass port done lol
Just a thought
Tell me if its a shit idea to have on the site , especially the main people who do all this for us

It would be nice for the forum to know what part of the country you are at. We have regional reps but to think if 50 cars show up would be a up hill struggle at the best. We, I don't think ever had that many attend the our AGM let alone a regional meeting.
At best, you can expect less than a handful to attend any local meetings. Many a time regional meetings have been organised but mostly with a poor showing that these meetings seemed to have lost momentum and any interest from regional reps to waste their time and effort on such events.
After you have established your regional area, by all means approach your representative and see between you what ideas can be generated to arrange a meeting and hope for a good attendance.
If you're in Stafford you qualify to come to the northern meets. Speak to the evil northern rep David Watkins & see if there's anything in the pipeline...... Pester him if there isn't
you can always have a ride to Blackpool and have a G related chinwag, you may find our operation quite interesting.

The Southern 460 Club will be going for its annual european tour next month. It might consider new members if they measure up.

Im in staffordshire and if a few met up it would be good with a few pics to put on the site. Even if it was just a gravel car park we could say we have been off roading lol
There must be some good trails in the lakes, derbyshire, sheffield and yorks area?
I know organising is a hassle and when we were motorcycle trailing 30 would say they would go and 5 turned up. This will always happen
Im fussy about my g as they are expensive and cool so i dont mind harsh terrain but hate scratches on tiny tracks
Best thing about g owners seems they are a family. A lot of other 4x4 clubs would leave you stranded. Lucky g wagons do the test of time
