David GRIX R.I.P. A message from Richard

David GRIX    R.I.P.       October 1944 – February 2014
 
                        We gave “GRIXY”  a good send off on a cold and foggy Friday morning last week.      G-Wageners came from all four corners of the country to pay their respects.     Uncle Fred came down from Scotland to be met by Mark from London, as well as Shaun Loveitt and Joe Askew.      Richard Wells represented Wales and  David s car has gone to Eddie in Ireland.     We all met up on the Thursday evening  at the Saxon Inn in David s village of
Child Okeford, near Blandford in Dorset.      The funeral took place in the lovely old church of St. Nicholas on the Friday morning.     After the service David was buried in the churchyard and the GWOA wreath consisting of “Flowers of the Desert” was placed on the grave.     We then took Cherie back to the Inn by G-Wagen convoy, stopping for a moment outside his house as a mark of respect.
     R.I.P.  Grixy we’ll all miss you.

A fitting send-off Richard. Sorry I could not make it. David's Expedition G remains in Somerset where the magicians are waving their wands. When it is complete I will bring it to visit David.

heard that the farewell turnout was great. its so nice to hear.

when do you hope to get expedition G running eddie...?

i may be over next month to visit my grandmother, shes not too well....would be nice to meet up with you ,tony and axel.

 

rip david, you will always be remembered mate.
