For most of the week my ‘G’ sits on the drive open to all the North Norfolk elements (Wind, Rain, Snow and Seagulls!) as I only get chance to drive it during weekends and holidays.....(I'm ready for the witty replies from the usual suspects.smiley

Unfortunately, I don’t have any undercover storage and the task of emptying the garages would simply be a major manoeuvre.

With the bad weather about to hit us all this winter does any one have any recommendations for a good manufacturer for a cover for added protection. I have looked on The Bay and you get the usually high price no quality rubbish so I thought I would ask the forum for any advice.

If anyone has anything that may be of use to cover a LWB 463 please drop me a PM.

Thanks

Tim

Re: Covers for G Wagens

Thanks Adrian,

I don't think I'll get through the security at Norwich Airport. However, my other local airport ‘Northrepps International’ may be an option!

They ship Cromer Crabs all over the world !

Thanks Mike I'll give them a call and see if they do a specific 'Condom' for my G.

Good to have options.....the most important thing to me is getting a decent material as this is lots of rubbish out there in the market. The Super G's  are looking good perhaps a black silk Mercedes cover to gently slip off when you finally unvail her/him.wink

Jim,

If Lamborghini can do it why can't the Somerset crew ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg7Rug8Vcy4

I can just see Joe drafted in for the Stephan Winkelleman role and Eddie and Gav dressed up in drag to do the unveiling in matching rigger boots...and Mike in the drivers seat giving the revs 'Large' when the silk is pulled away.

The forum needs some light hearted banter.smiley

Light hearted banter is one thing, but conjuring up pictures so vividly that will give most of us nightmares is another entirely....

No offence guys, who am I to stop you if that is what you want to do in your spare time....

Condoms and Crabs......i thought this was a G forum smiley

Seriously though, I'm not a great fan of car covers, the best, the breathable ones, are very expensive and frankly are still not that breathable.

Accordingly they can cause significant problems with condensation and all the problems that go with that. Not even a great fan of garages. IMHO a car port is best, covered, but good aeration.

Just my tuppence worth.

Re: Covers for G Wagens

Thanks Joe and Adrian,

I will take a look at both options when time allows....it's been a hectic few weeks.

Hopefully, any cover will keep my new engine warm when it gets installed as it's used to being in hot temperatures.wink

Re: Covers for G Wagens

I´ll inquire with our mechanics and get back to you. It might be a camo pattern if that´s not a problem?
