Hi To me there is enough in the documents picture to help nail it for definite. There is the LPG certificate, The GWOA pack, The headed paper from Steve Redfern - which I take it is the specialist Mercedes finder/dealer based in London. The fact it has a tracker. So the chance (if we are looking for confirmation) of someone else having a similar spec, LPG converted, Steve Redfern connected, tracker fitted car, must be quite narrow... If indeed the above is true?? Just a thought.. Simon

Certainly, the AMG wheels are very nice!

Not sure how 100,000 miles or the leading "1" can be removed from the MOT certificates? Unless they are forged, but then still wouldn't tie-up with VOSA records?

So, did the seller bid it up themselves ?

Or did the buyer smell a rat and pull out ?

I know it had a BIN price but thought the auction was running without reserve ! Some sellers can be silly ! Sometimes the first offer is the best offer and now with the added info around that it has lost the first 10years of it's history (conveniently) and the first 100k it is likely to be hanging about for a while.

is your mileage typing correct on service number 4... 61k?

Hi all Might be worth noting the relisting gives a clear explanation and admission of the clock change and restating the mileage as 180k. He also thanks the previous owner (Master?) for contacting him pointing out the error and providing him with the original 23yr old service book. So looks like a timely intervention. My only other thought is after buying a badly cared for 1985 460, the asking price is all very relative as you can easily spend £5k bringing an unloved lower mileage car back to life (believe me I know) and that's without body work or interior works.... And this is a 463. As everyone on here always says buy on condition, physical detailed inspection and proven history, including, I would advocate, ringing some of the previous owners and servicing garages. I had an A6 with 165,000 on it. Looked and drove like a new car because it was serviced beyond spec on the dot. Good spot by Master, and may yet prove a good buy for someone fully armed! Simon

Seems to me that the seller made too much of pointing out that the mileage was VOSA verified, which of course it would be on the post 2002 MOTs, and with the older paperwork conveniently not available to suggest anything different.
