burr walnut, dash upgrade on Ebay
Spotted this on Ebay:

Emailed the vendor who genuinely has no idea what year or model it is for.
perhaps someone more knowledgable on the subject can decipher the photo and enlighten?

If i'm not mistaken, it looks like something for a fairly new G. Is it me, or does the piece on the top left look as though it would house the TV/ Sat Nav?

£46 for the whole set! What a bargain.
Was browsing through the mercedes price catalogue at the dealer the other day and if my memory serves me the centre console alone was something like £200.
Well, we can always ask Mr Greeney if this is any good, 'cause I believe that he won the bid!
It looked to me a bit strange..... that part to the LH that looks like the central part of the steering wheel??????
Well in any event Greeney is a bit of a handyman so I guess it will look te part once fitted in his G.

I think you are right that it is from a steering wheel. I'm inclined to think that this is an aftermarket kit and not genuine.
You're right about Greeney, a mastercraftsman from what I have seen. I can't wait to see his G once fully restored.
Thanks guys! there was me thinking no one cared...
I did win it yes at £40 odd quid a bargain it arrived today and looks very good. it is not original MB but good quality. all backing adhesive is 3M (best) The ebay photo didnt do it justice it had 3 layers of foam all packed with bits.
It is for a newer G but i dont know yet how adaptable it will be for mine but I spent £100 on some real veneer recently to create my own dash so watch this space.

Yes I won that one and it finally arrived and it is for a RHD, my G is a LHD. I am not sure if I would have used it anyway. It looks good when you take it out of the box, but when you actually put it up against the dash of the car, it lets you down. They don't fit exact and I think If I fitted it would give it a cheap look.
