Hello hello.

My G is leaking a bit of brake fluid. Are there two reservoir brake fluid boxes? One on the right side - Dot 3.0 + and one on the left side "Use original fluid only" ?

What is the difference between those two containers?

Re: Brake fluid Reservoir?

The reservoir mounted by the brake servo is actually for the braking system.

The other, usually a small reservoir is for the front and rear locking diffs if you have a front diff locker on your model as for the European G-Wagens' the front diff lock was not an automatic specification or for that matter any diff lock was a chosen specification.

It is usual for the diff lock reservoir to loose brake fluid and this leak is common at the T- piece join or hose connecting to it lower down the line of the reservoir.

By the way the brake fluid  for either reservoir is DOT 4.

No the brake fluid DOT 4 is the same used in both reservoirs.
