A P4 with enough bit missing to invite a new engine and transmission from a Mercedes, body looks sound and as a 1992 car its recent for an ex military vehicle

Re: A blank canvas

Looks rather nice - I'd be tempted as it reminds me of the  Willys MB / Ford GPW  Jeeps from WW-II, with the fold-down windscreen.

No really any visible rust - foot-wells look good - and generally nice condition. Bidding is still low at £175.

Would make a great restore, with new shiny paint, custom seats from an SLK, and an engine upgrade a la 606.

I think that they only have a rear difflock, is that the red knob on the floor ? It would make a good base for a fun offroader though.

the front diff locks are a bit of a waste of time if you ask me the way they lock up the steeringdevil

They are not meant for going round corners. I use my front locker to get me over the top of steep slopes when the back wheels start to spin.
