Greetings all. Its been a while since I posted here as I've been G less for about 6 years. Previously owned a '91 G300 LWB and a '03 G270 CDi. But the G itch has been itching and the Cayenne Turbo needed to be replaced, so we've gone and purchased a '06 RHD G55 AMG with 21k miles. Car is a 9 seater black with red interior and in as new condition. This is one of the rare bespoke AMG models which were tailored in RHD while the factory only made LHD. Cant wait to take delivery next Tuesday!!

May consider facelifting to 2016 look, so you may see some part come up for sale. Also looking to install an Apple CarPlay Navigation system to bring it up to date. Planning to keep it for a long time so want the car to be spot on.

Ah - that'll be the one from the dealer in Sheffield then.

Very very nice - have been keeping an eye on it for a while and hoping the price would come down somewhat. But not to be.

Enjoy it - and hope to see it up close somewhere along the road.

Indeed thats the one. Yes its been there a while but I got a good deal and a good px on my cayenne so happy to purchase. For the same price I could have got a 2008 facelift version in LHD but the RHD was tempting.

But what really sold it was the car. In the morning we saw a 2011 G350 in London and decided to see this G55 in the afternoon. There was no comparison. The G350 was nice and cheaper but didnt have the wow factor. The G55 looked scary in red in the pictures, but something nagged me to drive up and take a look. In the flesh the car is stunning. The interior is actually much darker than the pictures suggest, and really adds to the interior look. Also love that the seats are not the standard design and are not only heated but also cooled. But what really surprised us was the overall condition. Its practically brand new. No scratches on the paint. No wear on the interior. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Oh and having the 4 seats in the boot is a dead useful option and something from memory is an expensive option. I cant wait to send my application to have my car exempt from the Congestion Charge because its a 9 seater!

That'll teach me.

It was the shade of red leather in the pictures that most put me off.

Glad to hear that it is a deal more subtle in the flesh.
