Just seen this.

After the hype and interest in the INEOS Grenadier, what about this crossover SUV idea from MB.

My take is it's a replacement for the GL rather than the G. Like a GLQ ?

Re: Baby g

It is just becoming apparent to everyone, thinking of going electric, that with ever bigger batteries, to achieve range and performance, the cost to re-charge is becoming a problem.

The 150kW chargers in Service Stations, that charge your EV car from empty to full in, say 40mins, is going to cost you about 0.69p per kW. A 100kW battery is going to cost you well over 50 quid to charge.

I don't know what capacity the Baby g will have, but the real EQG is going to be 108kW

Cost per mile is the real measure.

...and with big batteries comes a lot of extra weight and lost space.

A tank of fuel has by far the greatest energy density and can be 'recharged' in a couple of minutes.
