Arm Bushings
hi guys.
So I'm putting in new arm bushings and this dude that I'm buying them from keeps saying that I need 8 for both axles. That can't be right, right? Isn't it just one bushing per corner of the car??
hello,
if you are referring to the radius, thrust arms, then each arm has 2 round bushes that locate each arm to the axle. That is a total of 4-bushes per axle.
There is of-course a also set of rubber bushes where the trust arms bolt to the chassis, but I don't think you were referring to these.
Hi
No, its 2 per corner = total 8
These are the big round bushes for the trailing arms that locate the axle, 2 per arm
Front and Rear are slightly different, unless you go poly then maybe the same
Don't forget the 8 "top hat" end bushes too that hold the bar to the chassis
Also worth checking the Panhard Rod bar bushes, 2 per bar...the early small bushes are not available so hope you have the later bigger ones
May as well check Front Anti Roll Bar main bush and drop link bushes too, and rear on some Military spec G's
The 8 Axle locating bushes are where the monies at!

Yep
2 per side per axle
so 4 per axle
8 in total
Ah ok. Cool.
So 4 are bigger and 4 are smaller?
fronts are bigger.....
All 8 are similar size but slight difference...
There are ALSO 8 front "top hat" bushes that hold the arm to the chassis that you will remove to take the arm off to be able to press the new axle bushes in
